Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Excellent film that showed Jim Carrey could actually act as opposed to just clown around with bizarro faces/voices. The film is intriguing; makes you think. Deals with relationships Jim Carrey and Kate Winslett play a couple who’s spark has goneout of their relationship therefore they both decide to erase each other from their memories…

Sounds good. Romances that deal with memory are always poignant…but what’s romance without pain? I got that from a quote from somewhere.

I’ll have to check this one out. I’m curious to see how Jim Carrey plays a role like this.

Poignant.com is what this film is

Yeah, Jim Carrey in this is a bit of a revelation actually. The film itself gets better (and more coherent) each time I view it. It’s nice to see a film again and see bits you’d forgotten. Groundhog Day was a bit like that but I’ve seen it so many times now I don’t think there’s any left…

Eternal Sunshine… is one of those films critics would say ‘works on many different levels’.

I won’t say more about it before you’ve watched it other than if an agency like the one in the film existed at some point … well I suppose we have hypnosis…

Everything I read about anxiety, panic attacks etc say not to stay up nights (it’s now 2.46am) and DON’T watch TV etc However, this is when they put on the best films.

Note to self: get another DVD recorder (last one broke).

I want to see this now. I have friends who love Jim Carrey, so I’m quite curious to see how he plays the role too. It sounds like a good story, and if the storytelling does the premise justice, I’m sold.
